Healthier fast food: Will kids actually eat it?
The article form The Week magazine on Healthier fast food: Will kids actually eat it? was published on July 14, 2011. Although Burger King and 18 other restaurants had started offering lower calorie food for the children's menu, still there are people who thinks that this idea is pointless, because kids will still want fries with their meal. Still many people don't believer this theory would work, and how well the restaurants would do depends on how they decided on their healthy options. In this article it had mention that it is up to parents weather or not they want their kids to be healthy, not up restaurants. I do agree with that, if the parents wanted their kids to be more healthier, they always have the option to take them to a healthier place, instead of fast place, on the other hand, I think this ideal of making healthier options in restaurant dose have benefits, such as children likes to go to fast food place because they gave them toys and other things, in my option is that children doesn't care that much of how good the food taste, they care more about what kind of surprise toy they'll get from kids meal, like in McDonald, if you older a kid's meal, they will have a little toy along with it, and there are also playground where children's likes to play. Like I said, the children doesn't care much about the food, even though the kids might want fries along with their meal, it is better having healthier food with fries than having not healthier food with fries.

Can smartphones replace house keys?
"Can smart phones replace house keys" was posted in The Week magazine on July 6, 2011, at 10:50am. The article mention that there's an app on smart phones replaced the house key, instead now you could just unlock your house door by smart phones, alone whit that, you also need a special lock to go with, it doesn't work just with any locks. You need the Internet for the application to work, because the signal has to go though the Internet to a small device that is connected to your home router. The one differences out of many between this" smart phones key" than the "physical key" is that you don't have to be very close according to open the door, you could be miles away and it still works. It also mentioned that if the Internet is down or if your phone is out of juice, you would not be able to open the door, Tues they had gave you suggestion that it would be smart to hind a physical key somewhere just in case. In my opinion is that I do like this new idea, it sure dose save more space in your bag and it is more easy to find and hard to lost. And I like that you could open your door from miles away, that way, if someone wants to get into your house, but does not have the key, all they have to do just a call, and that would solve all the problems. It is also very lucky for the people's who's office is only a mile away from their home, they could just sit in there office and open the door, but it is also has benefit for the people who works more than miles away from their house, instead to drive all the way home just to open the door, now they could just drive to where that is a mile from their house.

Are women really at risk of disappearing?
"Are women really at risk of disappearing"? was posted on June 14, 2011. Journalist Mara Hvistendahl says that it's a possibility the consequence of world to be full of men. According to her research, the world demographic is in favor of men. Such as in China, 120 boys are born for every 100 girls, the ratio in India is 108 to 100, and In South Korea is 110 to 100. In many cultures families likes to have men more than woman, they say that the men earns more money for the families, and the woman often just married off to other family and takes expensive dowries with them. In China and India, abortion had rise, when parents had see the results of the ultrasound and know that is a girl, not a boy, they would abort the girl, so that they can keep trying to get a boy and without increasing the family size. Although there are laws against sex-selection abortions, but we still find that each year in India there are 600,000 girls gets aborted. Kurlantzick's prediction about China was that he thinks within a decade, 30 million men in China may not be able to find wives if this abortion doesn't change. Now In China and India, they are trying their best to encourage to have baby girl by toughening their laws and instituting fines.
From where I had grow up, there was a law that each family could only have one child, if they wanted to have two, they would have to pay the government among of money, so many people in China when they are pregnant with their second child, they would either go to a far place from home to hide or they would just do it the easy way, that would be abort the baby.
Personally I think that there are both positively and negatively side about having more woman. Positively is that men don't have to struggle so much to find a woman to marry to. Negatively is that, according to this article, it says that if women continue to disappear, 30 million people in China might not be able to find wives, which means that population would go down. And also with a lot of men in this world could be more violent. It is impossible to have equal woman and equal men in this world, so one of the sex has to be less than the other, but maybe not by too much.

Facebook's facial recognition: Privacy invasion?
There are over three hundred and twenty million people on Facebook. It is one of the largest free social networking websites in the world. Facebook is a good way to keep in touch with your friend who you don't get to see very often; and not just that, sometimes you can also find friends who you have lost touch with. Though facebook, you can get in touch again. You much be 13 years old to sign up for facebook. If you are under 13years old, it is illegal. I think it is good to keep your profile private when you sign up for facebook because there actually have been a lot cases of people using personal information on profiles to track people down and intentionally hurt them. Regarding picture tagging, you have the option to untag yourself if you don't like the picture that people tagged you in. That way, it won't show up on your profile again. I also like the idea that one of the EU regulators had. He says that tags of people on picture should only happen when you give prior consent. I think this is a really good idea. "The company notes that the feature only makes tagging suggestions, and can be disabled", but so far , they have received nominal user complaints. It seems like then people are not reacting too strongly to this now feature. In my opinion I like facebook and I don't have any problem with. I think the new feature it is very good way to connect with the friends you don't see a lot.

Japan's 'sacrificial' elderly nuclear cleanup squad
A group of more than 250 Japanese retirees want to replace the younger workers cleaning up the toxic Fukushima nuclear plant, which is really dangerous. Just in this week, there were more than two workers in their 30s to 40s who died from the radiation. The Japanese government hasn't accepted the idea of the retirees who volunteer to do the clean up. These elderly volunteer said that they won't develop cancer in time to die from it. In my opinion It is good that they care about the younger people and about their future. Those retirees are so brave, and it also shows that they love their country so much that they are putting their life in danger just to save the country. I think the government should reconsider it again. Since those elderly people won't develop cancer in time to die from it, then why should the young people's life at risk? I think if I was an elderly retiree, I would do the same thing because I wouldn't have that much to worry about it, but for the young people, they still have a long way to go, and some of them may have a family to take care of.

Should a baby's gender be kept a secret?
A Canadian couple had a four month old baby named Storm, and both of Storm' s parent decided not to tell anyone what gender is Storm, they had decided to keep it a secret. Only seven people know what kind gender is Storm. The seven people were Strom's two young brothers, two midwives who helped in the delivery, and one close family friend, and the parent's wanted to keep it that way.
Isn't it unfair of the parents to keep Storm's gender a secret while not keep Storm's other two brother's gender a secret? I mean what's the point keeping it secret? Think about it, it is ridiculous, people are going to find it out anyway, is just the matter of time. Also they should care about what Storm would feel like when he find out what his parent had done to him, pretty sure it wouldn't feel good. Maybe they don't have to tell everyone about Storm's gender, but at least they should tell Storm's gramparents or some other family members. They let a close family friend know about the gender of Storm, but the rest of the family are not allowed to know? That dosn't seem right to me. I don't thinks that by not telling people about Strom's gender is going to protect him and have some kind benefit in his life. If my parent had done this to me, I will be very mad at them, because I think is very selfish and wrong to do this to their baby, it could hurt them. I understand that sometimes is not other people's busyness, than you can just chose not to tell them, but is also unnecessary to kept it as a secret, is just not right.
Personaly I think Storm's parent's are making the wrong ideal and they just don't know it, and I also thinks that Storm is boy, because Storm this name seem's like it would fit for a boy than a girl.
