Can smartphones replace house keys?

"Can smart phones replace house keys" was posted in The Week magazine on July 6, 2011, at 10:50am. The article mention that there's an app on smart phones replaced the house key, instead now you could just unlock your house door by smart phones, alone whit that, you also need a special lock to go with, it doesn't work just with any locks. You need the Internet for the application to work, because the signal  has to go though the Internet to a small device that is connected to your home router. The one differences out of many between this" smart phones key" than the "physical key" is that you don't have to be very close according to open the door, you could be miles away and it still works. It also mentioned that if the Internet is down or if your phone is out of juice, you would not be able to open the door, Tues they had gave you suggestion that it would be smart to hind a physical key somewhere just in case. In my opinion is that I do like this new idea, it sure dose save more space in your bag and it is more easy to find and hard to lost. And I like that you could open your door from miles away, that way, if someone wants to get into your house, but does not have the key, all they have to do just a call, and that would solve all the problems. It is also very lucky for the people's who's office is only a mile away from their home, they could just sit in there office and open the door, but it is also has benefit for the people who works more than miles away from their house, instead to drive all the way home just to open the door, now they could just drive to where that is a mile from their house.
